Event Fact Sheet

Overview:     The LG World Championships of Freestyle Motocross is the season-ending World Championships for the FMX industry. Riders will qualify for this invitational event based on their worldwide results from the 2005 contest season as well as from a qualifier competition held prior to the Championships.
Date: October 1, 2005
Location: LA County Fair at Fairplex in Pomona, California
Riders: Fifteen top pros will qualify for the event.  Ten (10) will gain automatic entry based on their results from the 2005 contest season and five (5) additional spots will be awarded based on a qualifier event to be held prior to the main competition.
Schedule:
  • Practice will be held on Friday, September 30 between 11:00 – 5:00 and again on Saturday, October 1 from 3:00 – 5:00.
  • The open qualifier will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 1:00.
  • The main contest will be held on Saturday, October 1 at 7:30
TV Coverage: The event will air nationwide on CBS on November 27th from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on OLN the week of November 28th with a minimum of three (3) hours of additional programming.  The event will also be broadcast to 554 million homes in 10 countries worldwide through 17 international network partners.
